Finding out I I was pregnant…I was nervous. I know I needed as much love, support, and positive energy surrounding me. I decided to have a Doula, I had several interviews. I came across Talena after speaking with her I knew to go ahead and lock her in. She guided me, encouraged me, and educated me. I’m so glad I had her during my birth experience. Her presence made a huge difference. If I decide to go for baby #2 she will be there.

I knew before I was pregnant that I wanted a doula. I spoke with a few but none of them stood out until my meeting with Talena. She listened to all of my wants but also my fears and concerns. I asked Talena to be a part of my birth experience for my third baby. I had hoped to have a vaginal delivery without the use of any pain medications. Unfortunately, my birth plan didn’t go according to plan and I was rushed into an emergency C-Section. I was very sad that I wasn’t able to use Talena as planned. But she was there when I came out of surgery and was very supportive and helpful with getting the baby to latch. I enjoyed the time I was able to spend with her leading up to my and would definitely recommend her to someone looking for a Doula. Talena was very informative and answered all of my questions about having a natural birth and helped me to feel prepared for the birthing experience. I would 100% use her again in the future.

I just want to say that having Talena as my doula was one of the best decisions I've made for my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum! Like seriously, if you're considering hiring a doula, trust me when I say that it is worth it! When it came down to my laboring, she was honest in telling what's next to come and what all to expect, and never once was she overbearing. Her personality and spirit were both so calming. I labored at home for a while with my husband, and she was there helping me through my contractions. While at the birth center, she was quietly there, providing me with everything I needed. I'm proud to say that I successfully had a natural birth, and I honestly believe that Talena played a major role in that. I look forward to having her again as my Doula in the future!

My husband and I met Talena when I was just 10 weeks along. Our first meeting, we knew we wanted her as our doula! From beginning the she has been very informative and so hands on. On our big day she was so empowering by pushing the nurses out of their comfort zones and teaching them, all while putting my and family needs first! I used Talena as my Doula because I was hoping to labor at home and then go to the hospital when I was ready. Unfortunately it did not work out that way. She supported me no matter what decision I made. I had to be induced, and so she came to the hospital and made sure that I would feel just as comfortable as I would at home. It was such a fear of mine that my induction would be like the last time. I was confined to a bed and had to labor in bed, which was what I wanted to avoid. Talena gave me so many options as far as positions to move my labor along. She comforted me when in physical pain. But she provided much more than just physical support, she was there for me mentally. And I truly don’t think I would have had a good experience without her. Even better she has different packages that fit the moms needs. I used the last minute doula service. I couldn’t be happier having her there for one the scariest but the most exciting time in my life. Definitely recommend 1000 percent, for new moms and even experienced ones!"

My friend recommended Talena, and I was SO glad she did. I am a first time mom, and when the time came, I found myself just sitting in bed at the hospital as my contractions were starting with no idea really what to do. It was late, so my husband was laying on the couch majority of the time. When Talena showed up she was such a blessing! I had someone to talk to, ask my million questions, and she recommended lots of different positions and techniques to manage the pain. She pushed me to stick it out naturally for as long as I could, which is what I requested. And respected and supported my decision when I ultimately decided to get the epidural. She also captured so many special moments, I didn’t even realize she was taking pictures. I am very grateful and would not have wanted to go through labor without her. I definitely will be contacting her when and if I get pregnant again. Thank you Talena ! :)

The start of my pregnancy I was not very informed of my options or the support I could have during pregnancy. After I took control and found Talena I felt a sense of comfort and confidence. Talena was the best support I could have ever asked for during my pregnancy and delivery. Throughout my pregnancy Talena checked in constantly and answered any questions me or my husband had about the entire process. Once I was in labor she pushed me out of my comfort zone to get the process moving and provide me the best labor possible. I labored for 36 hours and I started to get discouraged and worried about how long the process was taking. My last minute decision to say yes to Talena was the best decision of my entire pregnancy.You dont HAVE to have a doula, but you WILL regret not having one. You go from making decisions in pain to being able to trust someone you just met to advocate for you, in just a few.

I hired her during my third trimester. she was very flexible with appointments, always stayed in communication if she were to be away a day or two, met with her back-ups (incase it was needed, and she was always kind and respectful. During my birth she was a life savior with all that she did to support my natural unmedicated delivery at St.Vincent Hospital. She went above and beyond during postpartum visit too with a copy of photos she took during the birth and ensuring I was doing well physically and mentally. I would highly highly recommend.

I found Talena through my midwife and I will forever be thankful for her! This was my first pregnancy and even though I am apart of the health/fitness/prenatal world I still needed everyone ounce of support Talena offers. I always knew I wanted a doula more for the sake of saying I had one, but I now know having a doula is an essential part of pregnancy and birth. My birth plan changed over night and Talena was there every step of the way, being my advocate, encouraging me through each contraction, pushing me to keep going, and even being an emotional support not just for me but my husband too. Not only did I have Talena for my birth but I also used her for postpartum support too.
I had my baby during covid which means only Talena and my husband were in the delivery room. This was very saddening for my mother and immediate family but with the help of Talena my family was continuously updated via text message. One of my favorite things Talena did was take candid photos and record every decision/part of my birth story in which she shared with us on a flash drive and she hand wrote the birth notes. These special touches have allowed me to forever have the memories of every detail to my birth story. This is only baby number 1 and I cannot wait to have Talena for all future births. You wont go wrong with hiring Talena as your doula. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

Talena is an amazing doula and friend. I had doubts at the beginning about getting a doula but after I seen how she worked, I made my decision and I was the best decision I could’ve made. She made sure I was doing good during my pregnancy and after. She answered any questions I had without hesitation and not only that she informed me about birth plans, things that I could do to the baby go down, what to have in my hospital bag, and she always had a positive mindset. In labor, we were doing all exercises possibly so I can dilate and I went hours without any pain medication and mind you I was on Pitocin. If it wasn’t for talena, I would’ve doubted myself of ever thinking I could do it but she was there the entire time and never let me go and pushed through everything with me so I could be okay and my baby to come into this world safe and sound. All future mommies should look into a doula because that is your right hand in battle ❤️

The first time I met Talena I knew I wanted her as my doula. She was so easy to talk to and answered all my questions (and I brought a list!) She checked on me frequently throughout my pregnancy and sent me super helpful resources. I ended up needing to be induced towards the end of my pregnancy and I was heartbroken and terrified. Induction was the furthest thing from my birth plan but Talena brought a certain calmness to the situation and helped me navigate the situation. During labor she kept me moving but also let me rest when needed. She was so knowledgeable about different positions and techniques and advocated on my behalf to the hospital staff. Talena is an amazing doula and postpartum doula. With my first birth I was in labor for over 30 hours. In my second birth which included Talena as my doula, I labored for only 12 hours. I’m a 100% sure adding Talena as my doula saved me from another 30 hours of labor. My family and I are so grateful. She baked me lactation cookies, folded clothes, washed dishes, and watched my kids so I could shower. Making postpartum so much easier.
